Catching my breath
It's been a crazy last few weeks. Here, in Colorado, the State wide SAT was given to all high school juniors, this past Tuesday. I had 3 students who took it as the "one that counts". They all felt they had prepared well and felt relieved it was over. In addition, I had 3 students take the National ACT exam, today. I will be checking in, with them, over the next few days. Like many students, these days, their schedules have been packed, which resulted in rearranging our sessions, multiple times. In addition to that, I was finishing up some graduate classes, of my own. Oh, yes, and working my "day job". All of which resulted in a busy month.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, things will slow, a bit. However, with the school term, rapidly, approaching, many students find themselves needing, a little "extra" help in subjects they've let slip. Or, for subjects they thought they had plenty of time to figure out, and now realize, they don't.
Those calls are just coming in.
But for the moment, it's a little slower, which has given me a moment to plan a few things. One thing I would like to do, is start showcasing some fellow tutors. "Rock Star Tutors", as I call them. Or, more specifically, that's what their students call them. Tutors who have made a difference in a student's life.
